Why You'll Love This Recipe
- Sweet & Tart: I love the combination of this easy cranberry smoothie because the cranberries bring a tartness while the other tropical fruits like banana, strawberry, mango and dragon fruit all bring sweetness. So it strikes a nice balance.
- Wholesome Treat: This easy cranberry smoothie is filled with fresh fruit and milk, making it a wholesome treat with real ingredients. While it tastes like candy, it's much better for you than fruity candy! Enjoy with Garlic Ranch Pretzels With White Cheddar or Hot Honey Roasted Walnuts for an afternoon snack!
- Easy: This Tropical Cranberry Smoothie is so easy! Dump all ingredients into a high powdered blender and blend until smooth, that's it!
Ingredients

- Cranberries: You can use fresh or frozen organic cranberries in this organic smoothie. This is a great way to use up this seasonal fruit!
- Dragon Fruit: I use frozen organic dragon fruit as the frozen fruit helps make the smoothie thick.
- Mango: I use frozen organic mango as this really helps thicken smoothies and gives it a tropical vibe. But, frozen pineapple also works here too as both of these fruits are a natural sweetener.
- Banana: I always use fresh banana (not frozen) as I think this helps blend up the smoothies better!
- Milk: I use organic milk here, but if you want to use coconut milk or almond milk you can do that too. You could even use water or cranberry juice if you want, but it doesn't make it as thick.

Tips for Tropical Cranberry Smoothie
- Use your favorite milk, it can be cow's milk, coconut, almond, or oat milk as they all work.
- Feel free to adjust the liquid to get the consistency that you like. I prefer a thick smoothie, so if you want to add more milk you can.
- If your banana is small you can add a bit more dragon fruit to ensure a creamy smoothie.
- Feel free to add in organic collagen for added protein (like in the Berry Protein Smoothie Without Banana)! Use 1 tablespoon and blend with all the ingredients to add 7 grams of protein to this smoothie! If you have a favorite protein powder, you can also use that instead.
- Give this smoothie a little holiday twist by adding a little leftover cranberry sauce into the glass before pouring.
- Make this into a smoothie bowl and add in Homemade Vanilla Granola with Cranberries or Maple Cinnamon Olive Oil Granola and a little drizzle of white chocolate for a light and refreshing holiday breakfast or brunch that will give you cranberry truffle vibes.

Recipe FAQ's
Yes, cranberries strike a beautiful balance of both sweet and tart. I love adding them to smoothies as they can balance out some other sweeter fruits.
Yes, I recommend frozen for a thicker smoothie. But, fresh also works if that's all you have.
I like to pair sweeter fruits with cranberries to balance out their tart flavor. In this smoothie the strawberries, banana, mango and dragon fruit all pair so well with the cranberries. You can also swap these fruits for others such as oranges, blueberries, raspberries or blackberries.
You can, you'll need to add in more mango as that's another fruit that will thicken a smoothie, such as banana does.
You can use less liquid. I always recommend using a blender tamper, especially when making thick smoothies as this will allow you to blend it up with using less liquid. Do this first, before adding in any extra liquid. You can also add in a little yogurt for a thicker and creamier smoothie.
Yes, you can add a scoop of collagen or your favorite protein powder for added protein. I prefer organic collagen as it's tasteless and it's a single ingredient natural protein.
Yes, just use your favorite nondairy milk such as coconut milk, almond milk or oat milk.
Cranberries are a tart fruit, so this will have a little tartness. But, it's paired with sweet fruits to balance it out. If yours is too tart, you may have measured the cranberries or other fruits incorrectly.
I don't recommend it. This smoothie only takes a few minutes to blend up and it's much better when it hasn't sat for too long.
Yes, these make great popsicles! Especially with a little white chocolate drizzle on top! You should 2x or 3x the recipe if making popsicles so you can fill a whole popsicle mold.
