Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- Healthy Pup Cup: If you want to make your dog a homemade pup cup, then this Dog Friendly Whipped Cream recipe is the way to go!
- 2 Ingredients: This Dog Friendly Whipped Cream only has two ingredients: coconut cream and raw honey.
- Dog Safe: Coconut cream is a much better option for dogs than heavy whipping cream! Dairy is not great for dogs and the pup cup from your local coffee shop is probably made with dairy and sugar! I use raw honey which is a great natural sweetener for dogs, and it makes this taste good so you can enjoy it too!

Dairy is not a great ingredient for dogs as most dog's cannot digest dairy. So, making a dairy free whipped cream is the best option for your pup! Plus, you can eat this too! I love this Dog Friendly Whipped Cream recipe because it’s thick, creamy, and has a slight coconut flavor because I use coconut cream. And I love coconut, so I could eat this all day long!

Baker's Tips
- It really helps to chill the coconut cream in the fridge before beginning this recipe. I recommend chilling for at least 48 hours beforehand. I usually just keep a couple cans of these in the fridge all the time!
- I use raw honey as a sweetener, but if you don’t have honey you can use organic pure maple syrup in its place. It's not as good of a choice as honey for dogs, but it is safe for dogs in small amounts as a treat.
- If you have extra whipped cream, store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days.
How to Make Dog Friendly Whipped Cream
- Chill the can of coconut cream in the fridge for at least 48 hours before beginning this recipe.

- In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment (or using a hand mixer), scoop out the coconut cream fat on top of the can. Do not add the liquid in, save that coconut water in the fridge for using in smoothies! Add the honey into the mixer with the coconut.

- Whisk on low and then slowly increase speed until you are at full speed. Whisk until stiff peaks form, this will be pretty quick, much faster than traditional whipped cream.

- It’s ready to use! Make your dog a homemade pup cup or serve up in a dish with fruits for a delicious treat you both can share.

If you don’t have honey, you can use maple syrup in its place. While it’s not as good as honey for dogs, it can be enjoyed in moderation as a treat.
Dog friendly fruits include fruits such as strawberries (just remove stems), blueberries, blackberries, apples, peaches, bananas, and more. But these fruits would all go delicious with this whipped cream!
Store extra whipped cream in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days.
