Try this recipe for the best homemade Kale Chips with nutritional yeast the next time you’re craving a salty snack! These homemade kale chips with 5 ingredients taste even better than the ones you buy, have less ingredients, and they’re such a healthy snack!
Ingredients

- Kale: You can use organic kale that's on the stems or kale leaves from a bag. You'll need to remove the stems either way, so whichever way you get the kale is fine.
- Ghee or EVOO: You can use either organic ghee or extra virgin olive oil. Both are healthy fats that will work great for these organic kale chips. I find that ghee gives them a richer more “chip like” flavor while olive oil makes them a bit lighter, so you can choose!
- Nutritional Yeast: This is one of my favorite foods as it brings a cheesy, salty flavor to dishes along with added protein, and its so good on these homemade kale chips!

- Store in a cool, dry place. But, these are best eaten within 2 days of making.

Recipe FAQ's
Kale chips are baked low so that they dry and crisp up. So, if your kale chips are not getting crispy or are soggy they didn't bake long enough or they were on top of each other and therefore couldn't dry out. You can move them to ensure they are not on top of each other and bake them longer. There is no worry of baking them longer at this lower temperature until they are dry and crispy!
I add nutritional yeast to these homemade kale chips because it provides flavor, saltiness, and protein! You will love the flavor of these nutritional yeast kale chips.
Kale chips should be stored at room temperature in a cool, dry place. They will last for 2 to 3 days (if you don’t eat them all before!).
