How To Make A Little Free Bakery
Making your own Little Free Bakery is easy! If you bake often, have too many baked goods, or want to spread joy in your local community, then a Little Free Bakery is the perfect idea!
You can use a little free library kit, as they sell them already built. You can customize it, paint it, add a bakery sign, or even add a die cut sticker to the front door (like I did!) that reads BAKERY. Pro tip—make your sticker backwards so you can put it inside the glass door (to protect it from outside elements, it will last longer!).

Baking Tips From a Former Bakery Owner
When stocking your Little Free Bakery, be sure to bake shelf stable treats. These are desserts that don’t need to be refrigerated. Think cookies, brownies, scones, muffins, or even some cupcakes. Breads, granola, or biscotti are also great too!
Some of my favorite things to bake for my Little Free Bakery are Brown Sugar Shortbread Cookies, Vegan Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies, Sourdough Chocolate Chip Scones, Vegan Toasted Coconut Brownies, Blackberry Sweet Potato Muffins With Streusel Topping, Peanut Butter Cup Brownies, Eggless Mini Chocolate Chip Banana Bread, and Espresso Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Make sure to package soft and chewy treats inside sealed containers, like cellophane bags so they stay fresh while sitting out all day.
