Ingredients

- Blueberries: You can use organic fresh or frozen blueberries for this recipe, either works.
- Cane Sugar: You’ll need organic cane sugar for a less processed homemade coffee syrup.
- Lemon Juice: I add a little bit of lemon juice to act as a natural preservative. You can use a fresh lemon or lemon juice from a bottle, either works.
Recipe Tips
- You can use another berry, such as strawberries, blackberries or raspberries.
- Feel free to use less sugar if you prefer.
- Make sure to store in an airtight container in the fridge.
How to Make Homemade Blueberry Syrup

- Step 1: Add the blueberries, cane sugar and water to a small pot. Put over low/medium heat and heat until the sugar is dissolved.

- Step 2: Turn the heat up to medium/high and bring to a gentle boil. Continue to boil for about 10 minutes until the juice has thickened and reduced.

- Step 3: Transfer the blueberry mixture to a blender along with the lemon juice. Blend until no visible signs of blueberry remain.

- Step 4: Transfer to a glass jar and store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

- Use in a hot latte or hot cocoa
- Use in a milkshake
- Top waffles, pancakes or French toast
- Top cheesecake
- Add into buttercream frosting or cookie glaze

FAQ’s
Yes, you can swap the blueberries for any other berry – blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, or mulberries would all work!
Store in a glass jar in the fridge in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. I like to use a mason jar, but any glass jar or glass Tupperware will work.
I love making Iced Blueberry Lattes with this, it’s my favorite way to use it. But, you can also use it any way you’d use caramel sauce or chocolate sauce. Ice cream, milkshakes, smoothies, waffles, pancakes, hot chocolate – all delicious ways to use this!
