  • Cane Sugar: You’ll need organic cane sugar for a less processed homemade coffee syrup.
  • Lemon Juice: I add a little bit of lemon juice to act as a natural preservative. You can use a fresh lemon or lemon juice from a bottle, either works.

How to Make Homemade Blueberry Syrup

  1. Add the blueberries, cane sugar and water to a small pot. Put over low/medium heat and heat until the sugar is dissolved.

  1. Turn the heat up to medium/high and bring to a gentle boil. Continue to boil for about 10 minutes until the juice has thickened and reduced.

  1. Transfer the blueberry mixture to a blender along with the lemon juice. Blend until no visible signs of blueberry remain.
