What is magic shell?
Magic shell is a combination of chocolate and oil that is a liquid sauce that you pour over ice cream. When it hits the ice cream, it “magically” hardens completely. This creates a chocolate ice cream topping that coats your ice cream. It makes it taste like you're eating a chocolate dipped ice cream bar!
Most store bought magic shells contain seed oils, stabilizers, and preservatives. But, you can easily make your own homemade magic shell with just two simple ingredients! This Organic Magic Shell is so easy and so good, you'll never want to buy it again!

Ingredients
- Dark Chocolate: I use organic dark chocolate. I love using organic mini dark chocolate chips because they melt so easily and you don't have to chop chocolate. If you use a dark chocolate bar, just be sure to chop it up so it melts easily.
- Coconut Oil: I use organic coconut oil. This helps the magic shell harden as soon as it hits cold ice cream.

Tools Needed
- Heatproof Mixing Bowl: You just need a heatproof bowl to melt the chocolate and coconut oil together.
- Spatula: I just stir this up with a spatula, but a whisk also works too.
