Ingredients

- Butter: I use Organic Valley Salted Butter, you can use your favorite. I prefer salted butter (always!) but especially here as it balances out the sweetness from the blueberries. You do want to ensure you're using a sweet cream butter here. I wouldn't use a cultured butter as that can be tangy, and that sour element doesn't compliment the sweet blueberries here and can make the final blueberry butter taste sour. Check out Best Salted Butter for Baking for more info on different types of butter.
- Wild Blueberry Powder: Organic wild blueberry powder provides flavor and makes this homemade butter spread a beautiful ruby hue!

Tips for Blueberry Butter Spread
- I always use salted butter, if you’re using unsalted, just give it a taste to see if you want to add a pinch of salt.
- You can use another fruit powder and make strawberry, blackberry, or raspberry butter, for example!
- Be sure to store in an airtight container in the fridge.
How to Make Blueberry Butter Spread

- In a mixing bowl, add the butter and blueberry powder. Mix until combined. Then it’s ready to use!

- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days.
How to Use
Use this Blueberry Butter Spread as a spread for toast and bagels. Add on top of pancakes, waffles, or scones. Or you can even use this as the butter for buttercream frosting or cookies!
Try this on top of Healthy Pumpkin Waffles With Bone Broth, Eggless Banana Waffles, or Homemade Sesame Bagels. Or use this butter to make Vanilla Bean Buttercream Frosting for a blueberry vanilla frosting that is so good!
Also, try this on muffins like Blackberry Sweet Potato Muffins With Streusel Topping or Eggless Banana Raspberry Muffins.

How to Store
Be sure to store in an airtight container or butter dish. If you’re going to eat this homemade butter within a few days, you can leave it out on the counter, just like regular butter. But, otherwise, I recommend storing in the fridge for up to two weeks.
Recipe FAQ’s
Yes, just give it a little taste to see if you want to add salt. If so, I recommend adding 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
I have not tested this with fresh blueberries, but it would not have the same flavor or consistency as you’d need a lot of blueberries for flavor and fresh blueberries have a lot of water which wouldn’t be ideal.
Yes, you can use freeze dried strawberry powder, raspberry powder, blackberry powder, or pomegranate powder.
Store just like regular butter. You can leave out in your butter dish for a few days while you enjoy (which is what I usually do!). You can store for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container in the fridge.
