Ingredients
- Raw Honey: I use organic raw honey.
- Red Chili Pepper Flakes: These provide flavor and also spice in this hot honey. I use organic red pepper chili flakes or they can also be called crushed red pepper flakes.
- Cayenne: Organic ground cayenne adds spice, so you get a kick. If you like it extra hot, you can double this or add even more to your liking.
- Apple Cider Vinegar: I love using a little organic apple cider vinegar as it adds some tang and balances out the sweet and spice. You can also use white vinegar if you don’t have apple cider vinegar.

Tools Needed
- Scale: I always prefer to measure with digital food scale for the best results. Especially for measuring honeys it’s so much easier!
- Small Pot: I use small pot to heat the honey.
- Whisk: I use a whisk to ensure everything is combined, but a spatula also works too.
- Glass Jar: I use a glass jar to store this. You'll want about an 8 ounce jar.

How to Store
Honey is best stored in a glass jar in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight. While honey lasts indefinitely, spices are best used within 6 months. So I recommend using this homemade hot honey within that timeframe for the best tasting organic hot honey!
How to Use
- Drizzle on top of pizza.
- Use as a savory toast topping. My favorite is butter, garlic, nutritional yeast, and tomato slices on sourdough. Just bake in your air fryer and drizzle hot honey on top!
- Use as a marinade for chicken.
- Use as a dip for chicken tenders or wings.
- Add to breakfast sandwiches.
- Use in a Hot Toddy for a little kick.
- Drizzle over roasted veggies.
- Drizzle on avocado toast.
- Top ice cream!

FAQ’s
No, you don’t. You can use any hone you like. I just prefer raw honey as it has more nutrients.
Store in a glass jar and keep in a cool dry place, such as your pantry.
This will stay fresh for about 6 months in your pantry. While honey itself can last indefinitely, spices are good for about 6 months to a year. So, I recommend using this within 6 months of making it for the best tasting hot honey. Honey can also crystalize when left sitting for too long (depending on the climate). This does not mean it’s bad, it just means you’ll need to warm it up in order to use it as a drizzle on top of things.
