Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

In a medium bowl, add the flour, sea salt, olive oil, and water. Mix together with your hands until a shaggy dough forms. Allow the dough to rest for 5 to 10 minutes, this helps the gluten relax, making it easier to work with.

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 450°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and sprinkle with cornmeal.

Step 3

Lightly flour a work surface. Turn the dough onto the work surface and lightly flour. Roll out with a rolling pin long and thin, about 15-inches long.

Drizzle the dough with olive oil and use the back of a spoon to spread it evenly. Using a fork, poke the dough with holes everywhere.

Step 4

Bake the dough alone for 13 to 15 minutes, until it looks dry. Remove from the oven.

Step 5

Add your favorite pizza toppings such as marinara sauce, cheese, veggies, or pepperonis.

Return to the oven and bake for another 13 to 15 minutes, until the cheese is lightly browned.

FAQ's

Can I make this ahead of time?

Yes, if you want to make this ahead of time you can do so and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.

Can I make this in my pizza oven?

Yes! If you have a pizza oven and prefer to make this in your pizza oven you can definitely do that. I haven't tested the time in my own pizza oven yet, but it will be shorter as pizza ovens are much hotter so the pizza cooks much faster.
