I love this easy and adaptable organic toast as you can use up veggies in your fridge. Sometimes I make mine veggie based and don’t use meat, but I also love adding Organic Prairie Garlic Summer Sausage as it’s so good and it gives added protein. You could also use traditional pepperoni slices or leftover Italian sausage as well on this easy Pizza Toast.
I make this Pizza Toast in my air fryer. My air fryer doubles as a toaster oven, so you can use your oven for this as well if you don't have an air fryer. I start out on the regular bake so that the veggies all have time to cook properly. Then for the last couple minutes I use the air fry setting. One trick I’ve learned is to make sure to not put foil under your bread, as it won’t crisp up nicely if you do. I like to use foil in my air fryer basket a lot as it’s easy to clean up, I know! But for this recipe put the foil on the tray below so that the bread slices are directly in the basket so you get nice crispy toast and the foil below can catch any drippings.

Ingredients
- Sourdough Bread: You can use your favorite organic bread, but I love using Inked Sourdough if I'm using store bought as their bread doesn't have any seed oils or sugar.
- Butter: I use Organic Valley Salted Butter, you can use your favorite.
- Garlic Powder: I use Frontier Co-Op Organic Garlic Powder mixed with butter. This makes this pizza toast like a white sauce pizza almost. I find that using tomato sauce just on bread can make it soggy, so I use this garlic butter mixture with fresh tomatoes instead.
- Tomatoes: I use organic tomatoes for the “sauce” part.
- Mozzarella: I love Organic Valley Mozzarella Cheese, you can use your favorite. I prefer to buy the block cheese and then grate it myself.
- Bell Peppers: I use organic bell peppers like traditional supreme pizza, you can use any color.
- Mushrooms: I also add mushrooms for a traditional supreme pizza flavor. But, you can use any veggies you have in your fridge.
- Summer Sausage: My favorite is Organic Prairie Garlic Summer Sausage (or any flavor), you can easily order this online if you can't find organic summer sausage at your local grocery store.
- Fresh Basil: I top this organic toast with fresh basil, this is optional, but it's my favorite part!
- Parmesan: Grate fresh parmesan on top for pizza toast that tastes just like your favorite pizza!
Tools Needed
- Air Fryer: I use my Cafe Air Fryer, you can also use your real oven if you don't have an air fryer or toaster oven.
