Ingredients & Health Benefits
- Banana: Organic banana is a great ingredient for dogs as it provides potassium, vitamin C, magnesium, fiber, and more.
- Pumpkin: We use Nummy Tum Tum Organic Pumpkin in this recipe. This superfood has loads of health benefits for your dog!
- Peanut Butter: I use organic peanut butter. Be sure to use organic peanut butter with just peanuts or peanuts and salt. A little salt is fine for your dog in moderation, so no need to buy salt free just for them. Just be sure your peanut butter has no other added ingredients.
- Coconut Oil: I use organic coconut oil, which can improve your dogs skin and coat.
- Coconut Milk: Organic coconut milk is the best milk option for dogs. It has healthy fat that your dog needs. Just be sure you're using a coconut milk with just one ingredient like Jiva Organics. Stay away from added sugars (natural flavors, sugar, ect.) and stabilizers (like guar gum, locust bean gum, or gellan gum that some coconut milks can have).
- Eggs: Organic eggs are a great ingredient for dogs as they provide omega-3 fatty acids.
- Honey: I use organic raw honey, which is antimicrobial and antibacterial. If your dog has allergies, honey can help!
- All Purpose Flour: I use organic all purpose flour.
- Oat Flour: I also use a little bit of organic oat flour, oats are a healthy carb for dogs.
- Baking Powder: I use baking powder for leavening.
