These peanut butter dog treats are a copycat recipe of Riley’s Organic Peanut Butter Dog Treats, which are one of only treats I’ll buy for John John as they have only 5 organic ingredients and John John loves them! But they were out of stock recently and we tried their other flavors (spoiler, John John did not go for the pumpkin coconut ones ha!). So, I knew we had to make our own copycat version of these peanut butter dog treats.
These small dog treats are crunchy, just like the Riley’s, which I’ve found John John likes crunchier cookies versus softer ones. But this copycat recipe only has 3 organic ingredients, as opposed to 5 and John John is even more obsessed with these than the originals!

Why You’ll Love This Recipe
3 Ingredients: These homemade dog treats only have 3 organic ingredients: oat flour, peanut butter, and honey!
Small Dog Treats: I love these Mini Dog Treats because they are small. This makes them perfect for John John and they also make a great training treat too!
Organic: These peanut butter dog treats only have 3 organic ingredients, making them a great choice for your dog’s health. So many store bought small dog treats can have terrible ingredients, fillers, and more that your dog doesn’t need. Just like processed food is not great for humans, it’s the same thing for dogs!

Ingredients
- Oat Flour: I love using organic oat flour for homemade dog treats as it’s a great gluten free flour that’s healthy doesn’t dogs.
- Peanut Butter: The base of these Mini Dog Treats is peanut butter, which dogs love! Be sure to use creamy peanut butter (not crunchy) as dogs can’t digest the full nut very well. Also, be sure to avoid peanut butters that contain added sugars, flavors, and especially xylitol as that is incredibly toxic to dogs and can be found in some peanut butters. Stick to organic peanut butter with only peanuts or one that uses peanuts and salt as a little salt is okay! We use the Costco Organic Peanut Butter, which just has peanuts and salt, this way we can all enjoy the same peanut butter.
- Honey: I use organic raw honey, which is antimicrobial and antibacterial. It also gives some natural sweetness to these homemade dog treats!

Tools Needed
- Scale: Always use a digital food scale for the best results.
- Mixing Bowl: This recipe is uneasy you just need a mixing bowl to mix it up!
- Spatula: I just use a spatula to mix up the dough.
- Baking Sheet: I use a quarter sheet pan since this is a small batch, but any size baking sheet will work.
- Parchment Paper: I always use nontoxic parchment paper, but you probably don’t really need it if you don’t have it.
- Scissors: I cut up these small dog treats with scissors as it’s so easy this way, but a knife also works.
