Ingredients

- Peanut Butter: I use Costco Kirkland Organic Peanut Butter, the same one we buy for us! The only ingredients are organic peanuts and salt. Be sure you are using peanut butter that is safe for dogs, meaning there is no added sugars, flavors, or xylitol as this is incredibly toxic to dogs.
- Bananas: I use organic ripe bananas, just like you'd use for your own baked goods.
- Coconut Oil: You can use the same coconut oil for your dog as you buy for you as long as it's just pure organic coconut oil with no other added ingredients.

Baker's Tips
- Always weigh ingredients for the best results.
- Use a ripe banana, just like you'd use for baking anything with bananas for you! The ripe bananas will mix into batter better and the starches have turned into sugars, making them tastier for your pup too!
- Make sure to use creamy peanut butter that is dog safe. Avoid all added sugars, flavors, seed oils and especially xylitol as that is incredibly toxic for dogs.
- You can cut these treats into any size you like, depending on your dog's needs.
- These are soft homemade dog treats so they need to be stored in an airtight container to stay soft.
- Gluten Free – Replace the all purpose flour with 127 grams (¾ cup plus 1 tablespoon) gluten free flour blend.
- High Altitude – Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes or until puffy and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

This is John John's face when he has to wait to eat the treats, haha!

- Add the flour and baking powder and mix to combine completely.

- Transfer to the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.

- Bake for 12 minutes, or until puffy and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. (If you're baking at high altitude, be sure to check the Notes at the bottom of the recipe for high altitude baking instructions). Cut into 64 small bites (or larger ones if you have a larger dog).
Peanut Butter Banana Dog Treats FAQ's
They should be stored in an airtight container so they stay moist, you can store them at room temperature or in the fridge.
You can also freeze them, if you have a small dog and get a large quantity, like I did. Just be sure to put them in an airtight container like a Tupperware or Ziploc bag before freezing. I’ve been pulling them out of the freezer as we run out of treats, as they thaw in minutes! You can store them in the freezer for up to 3 months.
Crunchy peanut butter is not ideal for dogs because of the small bits of peanuts. Dogs can have a difficult time digesting whole nuts, which is why you shouldn't give them to your dog. Creamy peanut butter is best!
