We are a huge fan of Four Leaf Rover, and if you follow along, you know we use their Bone Powder daily for John John since we fresh feed. But, they also make some other amazing supplements for your dog!
So, today we teamed up with Four Leaf Rover and our friends at Wildly Organic to create mushroom dog treats using the Four Leaf Rover Seven ‘Shrooms blend. This blend of functional mushrooms for dogs can boost your dog’s immune system, provide antioxidants, and more!

Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- Mushroom Dog Treats: These mushroom dog treats have health benefits, but they’re made with peanut butter so your dog will love them! We tested these with all the neighborhood dogs and they were a huge hit, even among picky eaters.
- 6 Ingredients: You only need 6 ingredients to make these Peanut Butter Dog Treats, which makes them so much better than anything you’d buy from the store.
- Healthy Treats: Treating your dog should be fun and you should be able to do so with healthier ingredients. These mushroom dog treats check all the boxes.
Ingredients & Health Benefits
- Peanut Butter: I use organic creamy peanut butter for the base as it makes these so tasty for dogs! Make sure to use dog safe peanut butter, which is organic and only has 2 ingredients (peanuts and salt). Make sure to avoid xylitol as this is incredibly toxic to dogs. Other ingredients to avoid are added sugars, flavors, and seed oils. Also, do not use crunchy peanut butter as dog’s cannot digest nuts very well and it can cause GI upset. I always use Costco Organic Peanut Butter!
- Honey: I use organic raw honey, which has antimicrobial and antibiotic properties. This is a great natural sweetener for dogs!
- All Purpose Flour: I use organic all purpose flour, but if your dog is gluten free you can also use oat flour too.
- Coconut Flour: I’m using Wildly Organic Coconut Flour, which helps dry out these treats so they are crunchy and delicious. You need this, so don’t substitute it. Coconut flour is a great option for dogs as it’s high in fiber which can help with digestion.
- Coconut Oil: I also use Wildly Organic Coconut Oil for a little healthy fat in these homemade dog treats.
- Mushroom Powder: The secrete ingredient in this recipe is Four Leaf Rover Seven ‘Shrooms mushroom blend. This blend of functional mushrooms for dogs can boost immunity, provide antioxidants and more! So I love adding this into treats.

Step 4
Bake 10 to 13 minutes or until they are golden brown around the edges.

Baker’s Tips
- You can form these into different sizes or shapes if you prefer. If doing that, just ensure you are baking them longer if you make them bigger or a little less if you make them much smaller.
- If your dog is gluten free, just swap out the all purpose flour for oat flour.
- Make sure to store these in an airtight container to keep them fresh.

FAQ’s
If you don’t have the mushroom powder, you can just omit it for plain peanut butter dog treats. If the dough feels a little sticky, just add a tablespoon of flour.
Store in an airtight container in your pantry. You can also freeze them!
They’ll last for 2 weeks in the pantry. You can freeze them for even longer!
