I'm a huge fan of avocado toast because it can be breakfast, lunch or even dinner. This is one of my go to recipes that I make weekly! The combination of toasted sourdough, creamy avocado, spiced seasoning, and salty bacon is incredibly delicious.

You can enjoy this organic toast on its own or eat it as a side with eggs, breakfast sausage, or waffles. I also love enjoying this for lunch or dinner as a side to salad.

Ingredients

  • Sourdough Bread: I use Inked Sourdough Bread, as it's a favorite in our house. This bread is organic, has no seed oils or sugar and it's amazing. Our favorite store bought sourdough for sure!
  • Avocado: I use organic avocado.
  • Everything Bagel Seasoning: Not all everything seasonings are created equal. My favorite is from Frontier Co-Op.
  • Bacon: I use Organic Prairie Pork Bacon, which is our favorite!

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Cook the bacon to your liking. I like to do this in the air fryer as I like my bacon on the well done and crispy side. Cut bacon into cubes.

Step 2

Toast the sourdough. Spread avocado, sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning, and the chopped bacon.

Can I use another kind of bread?

Absolutely! I love this on sourdough, but you could do this on an everything bagel, plain bagel, my Homemade Sesame Bagels, or even use a whole wheat bread like my Sourdough Discard Whole Wheat Sandwich Bread.

What else can I serve this with?

I love having this with just plain scrambled eggs like my Fluffy Scrambled Eggs, but you can also serve this with Everything Bagel Turkey Breakfast Sausages or Homemade Pork Breakfast Sausages.
