Why You'll Love This Recipe
- Organic Smoothie: I use organic ingredients, making this vegan smoothie so much better than one from a chain smoothie shop!
- Protein Smoothie: I add in grassfed collagen to add 9 grams of protein to this watermelon smoothie! This part is optional, but it makes this a much more filling snack.
- Vegan Friendly: This organic smoothie is naturally vegan (minus the collagen) as it's just organic coconut milk and fruit! So, feel free to leave it out for a vegan smoothie.
- Light and Sweet: The combination of watermelon and strawberries makes a light and sweet vegan smoothie that's perfect for summer, just like Lemon Blueberry Smoothie.

Ingredients

- Watermelon: I use organic frozen watermelon for a thicker smoothie, but fresh is also okay too. You may want to use less liquid if using fresh.
- Strawberries: You can use fresh or frozen, either works.
- Mango: I love organic frozen mango for thickness and natural sweetness. If you don't have mango, you can use 1 whole banana instead.
- Coconut Milk: I use organic coconut milk for flavor in this tropical smoothie, but regular cow's milk or your favorite nondairy milk also works.
- Collagen: Totally optional, but if you want added protein I love using organic grassfed collagen for a boost! Leave this out for a vegan smoothie.

Strawberry Watermelon Smoothie With Collagen FAQ's
Frozen fruit will provide a thicker and creamier texture. Fresh fruit will release water much quicker, so if you use fresh fruit your smoothie may be thinner and more watery than if you use frozen. So, if you are using fresh fruit, you will probably need less milk to achieve the same thick texture that you would with frozen.
Yes! Feel free to swap the strawberries for raspberries or blackberries (both of which would be delicious!).
