This easy summer recipe starts with lime juice, fresh strawberries, and sugar. You only need 3 ingredients to make this homemade strawberry drink! 

You can use fresh limes for this recipe or you use an organic lime juice. I have tested this both ways using the Santa Cruz Organic Lime Juice. Using this store bought option makes this much easier and faster to make.

Ingredients

  • Lime Juice: You can juice your own limes for this recipe or you can use store bought organic lime juice. I’ve tested this both ways, but buying the Santa Cruz Organic Lime Juice saves tons of time!
  • Strawberries: I use fresh organic strawberries, but frozen will also work too!
  • Cane Sugar: I used Wholesome for this recipe.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Add ½ cup of water and the cane sugar into a small pot and put over medium heat. Stir until the sugar has completely dissolved. Remove from heat and add to a blender.

Step 2

Add the strawberries and lime juice and blend until smooth.

Step 3

Strain through a fine mesh strainer to remove seeds and transfer to a pitcher.

Step 4

Add the remaining 4 ½ cups of water and stir to combine. Serve over ice.

FAQ’s

Can I use store bought lime juice?

Yes! As long as the only ingredient is lime juice, then you’re good. I have tested this with the Santa Cruz Organic Lime Juice.

Can I use a different berry?

Yes, you can use raspberries, blueberries, or even blackberries.

How should I store this?

Store in a pitcher in your fridge for up to 7 days.
