Why use organic dye?

When you use organic pink food dye, you can be sure that the treats you’re enjoying are free of artificial colors! Typical artificial colors that are used to make pink can include red number 3 (which was just banned but won’t be out of foods until 2027) and red number 40, among others!

Artificial colors are made from synthetic dyes. I prefer to eat natural and organic real food ingredients, instead of ones made in a lab! When you use organic pink food coloring, you can be sure your treats are safe to enjoy and share!

Recipe FAQ’s

Will my dessert taste like fruit?

Strawberry and raspberry powder do have flavor, so depending on how much you use, your frosting could take on flavor. But, the beet powder won’t taste like anything, so you can use this one for darker pink color without added flavor.

How can I make red?

While pink and red are different, I recommend using Suncore Foods Organic Red Dye for the best red color.

How should I store fruit and veggie powders?

Store in an airtight container, like a glass jar or zip up the bag they came in. Keep in a cool, dry place like a pantry drawer away from direct sunlight. You can also store in the fridge to prevent clumping, and they will last even longer.
