I have been obsessed with ribs since I was a child. My parents would take me to the iconic rib joint in the city and I'd sit in the corner and house ribs and toss the bones behind my highchair, so the story has been told! Every year on our birthdays, we got to choose dinner and I always chose BBQ ribs!
These organic pork ribs are just like my mom would make them growing up. These are incredibly easy BBQ Baby Back Ribs. They cook low and slow in the oven and fall off the bone! I created this recipe with my friends at Organic Prairie using their Organic Baby Back Ribs – which are insanely good! Order online and have them shipped right to your door.

Full of BBQ Flavor: This recipe starts with removing the membrane, seasoning organic pork ribs with a few simple spices, and then covering and baking at a low oven temperature. The low and slow roast will result in fall off the bone ribs! After the ribs are fully cooked, then I remove the foil cover and brush on BBQ sauce and bake again – and I do that twice to seal in the BBQ flavor into these organic pork ribs.

Ingredients
- Baby Back Ribs: I'm using Organic Prairie Baby Back Ribs. These are organic pork ribs, just like I always had growing up.
- Salt and Pepper: You'll need for flavor. I'm using white pepper, but black pepper is also fine.
- Garlic Powder: I use a little organic garlic powder for flavor.
- Onion Powder: I also add a little organic onion powder for additional flavor.
- BBQ Sauce: I use my homemade BBQ sauce, but you can use your favorite store bought one too.
Tools Needed
- Baking Sheet: You'll need one half sheet pan to bake the ribs.
- Foil: I cover these organic pork ribs with foil to ensure they cook, low and slow, and don't burn.

Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 275°F. Line a baking sheet with foil. Remove membrane from the baby back ribs and place on the prepared baking sheet. Pat dry the ribs with paper towels.
Step 2
In a small dish add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder and mix together. Sprinkle the dry rub all over the top of the ribs and rub in.
Cover the ribs with another piece of foil and seal the two foil pieces together, so the ribs are not uncovered at all.
Step 3
Bake for 3 hours or until the ribs are tender, remove from oven and remove foil.
Using a pastry brush, brush on your favorite BBQ sauce. Return to the oven for 15 minutes.
Step 4
Remove again and brush on a second layer of BBQ sauce. Turn the oven up to 400°F and bake for 10 minutes. Ribs should register between 145°F on a meat thermometer.

You may also want to consider boiling the ribs beforehand, so the grill time is shorter, and you get tender ribs. You can also bake them and finish them and add the BBQ sauce on the grill too.
You can boil ribs before grilling to help cut down on the cooking time. Ribs are the best when they are very tender and almost fall off the bone. If you are going to grill them, boiling beforehand can help reduce the cooking time on the grill, which can also result in more tender ribs.
