Why You’ll Love This Recipe
2 Ingredients: This Vanilla Sea Salt only has two ingredients: sea salt and ground vanilla bean.
Lightly Salted: If you favor the sweet a little more than salty, then you’ll love this finishing salt as it strikes the perfect balance with a sweeter finish and just enough salt.
Use on Anything: Use on top of cookies, brownies, or biscotti. You can also sprinkle on top of cupcakes, cakes, or add into caramel sauce for an extra layer of flavor. Add into chocolate ganache sauce for a salted chocolate sauce or sprinkle on top of a finished pie for a sweet and salty finish!

Ingredients
- Sea Salt: I use Vera Salt as it’s microplastic free.
- Vanilla Bean: I use organic ground vanilla bean, which is key for this recipe as it provides all the flavor.
Tools Needed
- Mixing Bowl: I use a small mixing bowl to mix up this gourmet salt.
- Measuring Spoons: I use measuring spoons as this recipe is quick and simple.
- Spice Jar: You’ll need a spice jar to store this gourmet salt in.
- Funnel: I like to have a funnel as it’s much easier to fill the spice jar. My spice jars come with this small funnel.

How to Use
Use this finishing salt on top of cookies, biscotti or brownies. I recommend adding this on top of baked goods immediately after coming out of the oven (so it sticks) for a sweet and salty finish. You can also add on top of pies after baking. Sprinkle on top of cupcakes or on top of a finished cake. Try adding this into homemade caramel sauce for a vanilla salted caramel! Add this into chocolate ganache sauce for a salted chocolate sauce. Add a dash into your hot chocolate. Or you can also use this to add a little flavor any other desserts such as pudding, custard, cheesecakes and more. The possibilities are endless!

FAQ’s
I like to use a spice jar, this way I can easily shake it on top of baked goods with ease. If you don’t have a spice jar, you can also use a small Tupperware or zip bag.
Yes, you can. You can replace the salt in baked goods with this for an essence of vanilla. I don’t prefer to use this inside as I can just add vanilla bean and salt to batters and doughs though. So I think the magic of this combination is as a finishing salt for on top of baked goods or added into caramel sauce.
