Ingredients

  • All Purpose Flour: I use organic all purpose flour.
  • Cane Sugar: I use organic cane sugar for a naturally sweet cookie.
  • Baking Powder: Make sure to use baking powder (not baking soda) as there is no acid in this recipe to react with the baking soda. Check out the Difference Between Baking Soda and Baking Powder for more info on leavening agents.

Recipe FAQ's

Can I make more than one jar?

Yes, of course! If you're making more than one jar I still recommend doing them one at a time to be sure that the right amount of flour, sugar, and leavening is added into each mix.

How long will this last?

This cookie mix will last for about 6 months in the pantry. This makes it a really nice gift not only to give, but also to make ahead of time as there's no worries of this being super perishable. So you can prep these ahead of the holiday and then gift them without the worry that you would have with a cookie box.

Can I use another kind of container?

Yes! If you want to use a different kind of jar like a mason jar you can do that. You could also use a kraft tin tie bag as well as long as the size fits. This does not have to be airtight, so using a bag like that would be just fine.
