FAQ’s

What else can I use in place of cornstarch?

If you have a corn allergy, you can use tapioca starch in place of cornstarch. You could also try Irish moss powder, though I have not tested that, but it is very similar.

What if I don’t have buttermilk?

You can easily make your own buttermilk with my Homemade Buttermilk recipe that only requires milk and a lemon! You can also substitute this with regular milk, but the flavor won’t be the same.

What can I serve queso dip with?

Tortilla chips are my favorite, blue or white. You can also make nachos with this cheese, add into burritos, or on top of tacos.

Notes

Note — If you don’t like it super spicy, you can half the jalapeños or even leave them out completely. Try your dip before adding in. But, the jalapeños will also flavor the dip the longer it sits.
High Altitude — Follow the recipe as noted.
