In a food processor, add the chickpeas, bone broth, olive oil, avocado, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and lime juice. Pulse to combine, then process on high until desired consistency. I like when it is smooth.
Step 2
Taste and add more salt and pepper if you prefer, and continue to blend until combined.
Step 3
Serve with a drizzle of olive oil (optional). Serve with crackers, tortilla chips, veggies, or use on sandwiches or toast!
FAQ's
Because this has avocado in it, the hummus can turn brown more easily. This does have lime juice, which helps it from turning brown. But I did notice a little discoloration after 24 hours (but it’s still good to eat!). So, I would recommend making this the day of if you want it to look bright and pretty!
