Why You'll Love This Recipe

Uses Leftover Turkey: You will love this BBQ Turkey Avocado Wrap because it uses up leftover turkey! After Thanksgiving, it’s like turkey for lunch and dinner until it’s gone, ha! So, I’m always thinking of different ways to include turkey in meals (besides just adding on top of a salad!).

Easy Lunch: This BBQ Turkey Avocado Wrap uses leftover turkey (dark or white meat, your choice!) along with BBQ sauce, avocado, raw sharp cheddar, red onion, mayo, and lettuce. It’s all wrapped up in a flour tortilla. But, you could easily do a spinach wrap or any other type of wrap you like.

Eliminate Food Waste: I created this recipe for my friends at Organic Prairie as eliminating food waste is important to both of us! I'm a huge fan of Organic Prairie and all the meat products they offer. If you are looking for clean organic meat from a company you can trust, then Organic Prairie is it! They ship everywhere in the country, so it makes buying organic meat incredibly simple, no matter where you live!

Ingredients & Health Benefits

  • Turkey: I'm using leftover turkey from Thanksgiving for this recipe. But, if you want to make this year round you can also use leftover chicken too. These are both lean meat options for a great source of protein.
  • BBQ Sauce: Use your favorite organic BBQ sauce or try my homemade recipe!
  • Cheese: I use Organic Valley Raw Sharp Cheddar, but Swiss, mozzarella, or your favorite cheese also works!
  • Avocado: I add organic avocado for flavor, texture, and healthy fat.
  • Lettuce: I use organic spring mix, but any lettuce you have is fine. Leafy greens are great for your gut!
  • Red Onion: I prefer to use organic red onion as I think it's better raw than white or yellow. Onions are loaded with antioxidants.
  • Mayo: I use a little organic mayo, but you can also use mustard for a healthier option.
  • Tortilla: I use organic flour tortillas, but if you want to use a spinach or other kind you can also do that too.
