Ingredients

individual ingredients for vegan honey mustard dressing laid out against a white background.
  • EVOO: I use organic extra virgin olive oil as the base for this homemade salad dressing.
  • Coconut Milk: Organic coconut milk makes this organic salad dressing creamy without dairy. I use Vita Coco Organic Coconut Milk for this. If you are using canned coconut milk that's extra thick, I'd recommend thinning it with water (do a 1 to 1 ratio) as that's usually what I do with canned coconut milk to make it similar.
  • Spicy Brown Mustard: This gives this salad dressing its mustard flavor. Some mustards can have sugar, so if you want completely sugar free, just be sure to read the ingredient label. I actually just use the O Organics Spicy Brown Mustard, which is sugar free and has great flavor here!
  • Apple Cider Vinegar: This gives this organic salad dressing a tang. You could use white vinegar in its place if that's all you have.

Tips for Vegan Honey Mustard Dressing

  • Whisk together to combine ingredients well.
  • Feel free to use another kind of dairy free milk, almond or oat milk also works. But, the coconut milk will give it a sweeter flavor (more similar to traditional honey mustard, which is why I use it here).
  • You can use another kind of oil, avocado oil or even sunflower or canola oil work. I prefer EVOO as it's seed oil free.
  • This dressing is thick, like honey mustard salad dressing should be. But, but if you want a thinner dressing, you can add water until you get desired consistency. Start with 1 teaspoon and go from there.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. I like to use a mason jar so it has a lid, this way you can shake it up as it can separate.
