Ingredients
You only need 3 organic ingredients to make this pie crust recipe! Making organic pie at home starts with a homemade graham cracker crust.
- Graham Crackers: I use Annie's Organic Honey Graham Crackers, they are a favorite. This is what we used at my bakery.
- Butter: I use Organic Valley Salted Butter. You can use your favorite butter, even unsalted if you prefer. If you are using unsalted, be sure to add 1/4 teaspoon of salt to the food processor.
- Cane Sugar: I use organic cane sugar for a little sweetness.
Tools Needed
- Scale: Always use a digital food scale for the best results.
- Food Processor: You'll need a food processor to make this pie crust recipe because we have to blend the graham crackers, sugar, and butter togehter.
- Baking Pan: You'll need a pie pan or baking pan. This pie crust recipe will be enough for a 9-inch pie, an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch square baking pan for bars, or a 9-inch or 10-inch cheesecake or tart recipe.

Step by Step Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Step 2
In a food processor, add half the graham crackers, butter, and cane sugar. My trick for the ensuring this easily mixes together quickly is adding half the graham crackers, butter on top, then add the sugar right on top of the butter as this helps prevent it from sticking to the sides. Last add in the remaining half of graham crackers. Pulse, and then mix until you have a uniform mixture and there are no chunks of graham crackers or butter.


Step 3
Grease a 9-inch pie pan with butter. Transfer the graham cracker mixture to the pie pan, and lightly press it into the sides first. Use the remaining crust, and press it down into the bottom of the pan.
Step 4
Bake for 5 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Allow to cool completely before using.
