Ingredients

  • Butter: I use organic salted butter for the frosting, but you can use unsalted if you prefer. Check out Best Salted Butter for Baking for my top picks.
  • Pink Dye: I use organic beet powder, but pitaya or even strawberry or raspberry powder also works too.
  • Chocolate Covered Pretzels: I make my own chocolate covered pretzels (recipe included here!), but you can also use store bought if you prefer.
  • Chocolate Hearts: I use Lake Champlain Organic Chocolate Hearts, these are my favorite organic chocolate hearts!
  • Heart Gummies: YumEarth Organic Heart Gummies are what I used, these cute little gummies are Valentine's Day worthy!
  • Animal Crackers: I use Trader Joe's Organic Animal Crackers, you can also use your favorite.
  • Licorice: I have bought Wallaby Australian licorice that was organic before, but I haven't been able to find it recently. The SunRidge Farms kind is great and it's free of artificial colors. And, YumEarth makes an organic licorice, it's just not Australian.
