I use YumEarth Organic Heart Gummies, which are made using vegetables dyes and organic ingredients. I also use Lake Champlain Organic Chocolate Hearts, which are a classic Valentine's Day candy that I get every Valentine’s Day. And I added Wallaby Organic Australian Licorice.
Then I added a little homemade touch to this easy Valentine's Day Charcuterie Board. I made a vanilla buttercream frosting and colored it naturally with Suncore Pitaya Pink dye. Make sure the Sea Salt Chocolate Covered Pretzels are made ahead of time.
Step 2
To make the frosting: In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, add the butter, powdered sugar, water, and pink dye. Mix on low until combined and then speed mixer up to high for 1 minute or until light and fluffy. Transfer the frosting to a small bowl. Place on a board.
Step 3
Add the heart gummies into another small dish and place on the board. Add the chocolate pretzels, animal crackers, licorice, and chocolate hearts.
Tips
- You can use any kind of cookies or animal crackers you like. Both mini cookies, animal crackers, graham crackers, and pretzels would all be delicious dipped in frosting!
