I love making hot cocoa with bone broth because it’s a healthier version that I can indulge in every single day! Using bone broth in place of milk gives hot chocolate added protein, collagen, and nutrients!

I always get a lot of shade on social media when I share hot cocoa with bone broth because people think it’s “weird”. But the saltiness of the bone broth pairs so well with chocolate that it’s insanely good! Don’t knock it until you try it is what I say! Even Delaney who was super skeptical loves this healthy hot cocoa!

FAQ’s

Can I use milk in place of bone broth?

Yes! Feel free to swap if you want.

What if I don’t have gingerbread spice mix?

I use my Homemade Gingerbread Spice Mix because I’m only using a 1/2 teaspoon total so it’s difficult to get the right ratio of all the spices with this small of an amount. My Gingerbread Spice Mix is made up of equal parts cinnamon, ginger, and cloves. So, you can do a scant 1/4 teaspoon of each.
