Waffle Recipe for Dogs

These doggy waffles are perfect for when you want to treat your pup extra special. But, the bonus is that you can even eat them too!

Ingredients
 
 

Waffle Batter

  • 1 large banana (very ripe)
  • 32 grams peanut butter
  • ½ cup coconut milk
  • 75 grams coconut oil (melted)
  • 15 grams raw honey
  • 1 large egg
  • 95 grams all purpose flour
  • 28 grams oat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon fine sea salt

Toppings

  • apples
  • peanut butter
  • pumpkin
  • blueberries
  • strawberries

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, mash up the banana.
  • Add the peanut butter, coconut milk, coconut oil, honey, and egg.
  • Mix together to combine the wet ingredients.
  • Add in the all purpose flour, oat flour, baking powder, and sea salt.
  • Mix to combine completely.
  • Preheat waffle iron to medium (or your preferred setting). Using a ¼ cup, add the batter into the middle of the waffle iron and cook until done to your liking.
  • Repeat with the remaining batter.
  • Serve with strawberries, apples, bananas, blueberries, or peanut butter for your dog. You can use as treats or a food topper.

Tips
  • Always weigh ingredients for the best results.
  • Make sure to use a banana that is ripe, this ensures that its soft and will mix into the batter well. It also will have a sweet flavor as opposed to a starchy flavor.
  • If you want to use oat milk you can do that too, just ensure the only ingredients are oats and water.
  • You can make these any size you want, depending on your waffle iron.
