Form the ground turkey into sausage links. You can make smaller or larger ones depending on the size of your dog. Or you can even just cook all the ground turkey as is, because you should be breaking up the links anyways, haha. But, I like to make it look cute first!
In a small skillet over medium heat, add a little coconut oil to coat the pan, and add your turkey sausage links in. Cook and rotate until they are completely cooked, about 5 minutes.
No need to wash the pan, add the eggs in and scramble over medium heat.
Plate your dog’s brunch with pancakes, eggs, turkey sausage, and fresh blueberries.
Notes
Serving Size – I make the pancakes and sausage all at once, these things can easily be reheated for meals later. I make eggs one at a time when preparing this dish. This makes about 10 meals for John John, who is 20 pounds. That may differ for you, depending on the size of your dog and how much food they need.Tips
Depending on the size of your dog, you may need to make more or less of this meal to fit your dog’s food requirements. John John is 20 pounds and he ate this whole meal (minus one pancake as that was too much, but I wanted to use it for the photos!). Check our post How Much Homemade Food Should I Feed My Dog? for a fresh dog food calculator.
I used my Blueberry Pancakes for Dogs recipe. These freeze really well, so you can make them ahead of time and freeze some if your dog won’t eat them all right away. I used zip bags to freeze them, and I thawed them out in the microwave!
I use organic ground turkey to make turkey sausages. John John eats ground turkey a lot for dinner, so I just set aside a bit of raw meat to form a couple sausage links. I cooked these in a skillet with coconut oil until done. You could also form them into little patties, but I thought the links would be funnier for this shoot!
Feel free to use other dog safe fruits like apples, banana, raspberries, or blackberries too!
