Tips
  • You can use the same organic pumpkin puree for your dog that you buy for you, so long as the only ingredient is pumpkin. Don't use pumpkin pie mixes as those can have added sugar and spice.
  • Make sure to use a dog friendly peanut butter that's free of added sugars, flavors and seed oils. Use creamy peanut butter (not chunky) and never give your dog peanut butter with xylitol as that is incredibly toxic for dogs.
  • You can make these cookies gluten free by using gluten free oats and a gluten free flour blend that is safe for dogs. I recommend using oat flour for the best results.
  • If using gluten free flour, be sure you don't almond flour as dog's don't digest almonds well.
  • Store in an airtight container to keep them soft and chewy.
  • You can also freeze these by storing in an airtight container in the freezer. Just pull one out to thaw when your dog needs a cookie!
High Altitude — Bake at 375°f for 8 minutes, or until the edges are slightly brown.
