Put over high heat until it begins to boil.
Then, cover with a lid and reduce the heat to a simmer.
Continue to cook for about 15 to 25 minutes or until the rice is tender.

Tips
Use organic Jasmine rice. Brown rice and wild rice are safe for dogs but they can be more difficult on their stomach to digest.
Be sure to introduce new foods to your pup slowly.
I like to wash the rice as it helps remove some of the starches. This will also make it easier for your dog to digest as well.
You can use water or dog safe bone broth to cook the rice. I like to use water as you can also just add some bone broth into your dog’s food with the rice too.
If you’re using bone broth, I recommend Small Batch Pets.
I'm cooking this rice in a pot, as that's usually how we make rice. But if you prefer to use a ricer cooker, that also works too!
Remember to keep rice free of any seasoning or fats and remember that garlic and onion are toxic to your dog.
Store extra rice in an airtight container in the fridge for a week. You can also share rice with your dog, this way nothing goes to waste! This is what we do as we don’t give John John rice very often.
You can also freeze extra rice in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
