Ingredients
 
 

  • 340 grams raw honey
  • 1 tablespoon red chili pepper flakes
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions
 

  • Add the honey, red chili pepper flakes, and cayenne to a small pot. Put over medium heat.
  • Heat until the honey has melted, and the cayenne has combined completely. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat and let it sit for a few minutes. Add the apple cider vinegar and stir to combine completely.
  • Strain through a fine mesh strainer. This is optional, but it removes the chili flakes for a smooth honey.
  • Transfer to a glass jar and it’s ready to use.

  • Use a honey you like the flavor of as that will be the base for this hot honey.
  • If you want more spice, you can increase the cayenne for more heat. The doubling it and go from there.
  • Store in a glass jar in your pantry.
