Peel the sweet potato, it’s important to peel completely because the skin can cause GI upset for dogs. Cut into 1-inch cubes.
Slice the carrots and chop the bell pepper into 1-inch pieces.
Trim off the ends and cut the green beans into 1-inch pieces.
Add the coconut oil to a Dutch oven and put over medium heat. Add the ground turkey and stir to cook the turkey though, about 10 minutes. Reduce the heat to low.
Add the sweet potatoes, green beans, carrots, and peppers on top. Add in 2 cups of water, don’t stir.
Add the lid and cook for 2 hours, stirring halfway through. Ensure the potatoes are soft when poked with a fork before serving.
If you have a small dog, you should chop up veggies a bit more before serving. (This is what I do for John John).
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
