Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • 1-pound Loaf Pan
  • Parchment Paper Sheets

Ingredients

  • 1 stalk celery (diced)
  • 1 red pepper (diced)
  • 1 large carrot (finely grated)
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 pound grassfed ground beef
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup rolled oats

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a 1-pound loaf pan with parchment paper, letting it fold over the sides for easier removal.
  • Grate the carrots using a large box grater and dice the bell pepper and celery.
  • Add the ground turkey, ground beef and eggs into a large mixing bowl and mix together.
  • Add the veggies and oats into the beef and eggs and stir to combine completely.
  • Transfer to the prepared loaf pan and press in evenly.
  • Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until the meatloaf internal temperature is 165°F.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Tips
  • I use a 1-pound loaf pan, but you could also form this into a log and bake on a roasting rack too!
  • You can use all one kind of meat or even substitute ground chicken or ground lamb too.
  • Feel free to use other dog safe veggies that your pup likes instead, it's totally fine to switch it up!
  • I like to use parchment paper as it allows the meatloaf to come out very easily. But, if you don’t have parchment paper then you can grease the pan well with coconut oil.
  • Make sure to store extra meatloaf in an airtight container in the fridge.
