These Loaded Turkey Burgers use a mix of ground pork and ground turkey, so they are incredibly juicy and flavorful! I add in fresh garlic, red peppers, and chives. Plus you can even add in cheese!

Turkey + Pork: You will love this recipe for Loaded Turkey Burgers because these are not your boring or bland turkey burger! I use a mix of ground pork and ground turkey for an incredibly juicy burger. I mix in garlic, onions, and chives for even more flavor.
Loaded: I love this recipe because the mix of pork and turkey makes a super flavorful burger. I also add chopped cheese into these burgers making them totally loaded with goodness! but it's totally optional. If you want to add in cheese you can add in my favorite Organic Valley American Cheese!
Flexible Recipe: You can enjoy these Loaded Turkey Burgers on a bun or you can opt for a healthier version wrapped in lettuce. I like to top these Loaded Turkey Burgers with avocado. But, you can add classic toppings like ketchup or mustard but I really like adding BBQ sauce instead with this recipe.

Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
In a medium bowl, add the ground turkey and ground pork. Using your hands, mix together the meat to combine it evenly.
Add the salt, pepper, garlic, chives, red pepper (and cheese if using). Using your hands, mix together the meat and add ins until evenly incorporated.
Form the burgers into patties that are about 4 ounces that are about 4 to 5 inches in diameter.
Step 2
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil (or alternatively you can cook on the grill). Add the burgers (cook 2 at a time if needed) and cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side, until golden brown and until the internal temperature is 165°F. Allow to rest for a couple minutes.
Step 3
Serve turkey burgers with buns, lettuce, avocado or whatever toppings you like!
