What is crostini?
Crostini is an Italian appetizer that has a base of toasted bread that's brushed with olive oil (or butter!) to ensure the bread bakes up golden brown. Usually smaller breads such as baguettes are used so crostini is a one or two bite appetizer. The toppings can vary to everything from veggies, spreads, or meats. This makes crostini super flexible and you can create all kinds of crostini recipes, depending on your tastes.

Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Pat steak dry with a paper towel and add to a shallow dish. In a small bowl, add the lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce and mix together. Pour over the top of the steaks. Let rest for 15 to 20 minutes, until steaks are at room temperature.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut baguette into ½-inch slices on a diagonal. You’ll need 20 pieces total. Place on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 3
In a small bowl, add the butter and garlic and stir to combine completely. Using a butter knife, spread the garlic butter onto each piece of bread and place back on the baking sheet.
Step 4
Heat the olive oil in a cast iron skillet over high heat. Generously salt and pepper the steaks on each side. Cook steaks in skillet for about 2 minutes on each side, searing them until brown on each side, and red in the middle. Immediately transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 6 to 8 minutes, until steak is 130°F to 140°F for medium rare (or cook to your liking).

Step 5
Add the garlic bread to the oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove steak from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before cutting. Slice steak into ½-inch thick strips.
Step 6
Place 1 to 2 leaves of spinach on top of the garlic bread, add the steak strip on top, top with crumbled blue cheese, and chopped chives.

FAQ's
Yes, you can, I'd recommend New York Strip if you can't get Top Sirloin. It may take a few extra minutes to cook as it could be larger.
These are delicious on their own as an appetizer! You can also make them a meal and add a salad or even potatoes.
