If you are a fan of Rhythm Superfoods snacks then you will love these Everything Bagel Kale Chips. While I am obsessed with the Rhythm Cauliflower Bites, I most of their snacks include seed oils so I haven't been buying them as frequently anymore. And I had the idea to make these organic kale chips because I love their kale chips and their Everything Bagel Broccoli Bites. So, I came up with this recipe for homemade kale chips as a combination of these two favorite snacks! But, my organic kale chips are made without seed oils, and you can easily make at home!

Why You'll Love This Recipe

3 Ingredients: These homemade kale chips only have 3 ingredients, making them simple and quick to make.

No Seed Oils: Some store bought kale chips can be made using seed oils, but this one is free seed oils!

Easy AF: This recipe for Everything Bagel Kale Chips is easy AF! It takes just 5 minutes to prep and then they bake up to crispy perfection.

Organic Kale Chips: Skip store bought and make these homemade kale chips at home instead.

Ingredients & Health Benefits

  • Kale: Organic kale is a cruciferous veggie that's high in fiber and good for gut health. You can use kale on the stems or leaves from a bag, but either way, you'll need to remove the stems as you don't want to use those for the chips. The stems won't crisp up nicely and will just become tough in the oven.
  • EVOO: I use organic extra virgin olive oil, but you can also use melted ghee. Both of these are healthy fats that will give these organic kale chips flavor.
  • Everything Bagel Seasoning: I use organic everything bagel seasoning for these homemade kale chips. I am obsessed with this seasoning for literally everything. It adds so much flavor with just one simple ingredient!

Tools Needed

  • Mixing Bowl: You'll need a large mixing bowl to coat the kale, oil, and everything seasoning. If you're lazy, like me, you can also just coat this all on the baking sheet too.
  • Baking Sheet: I use one half sheet pan to bake these organic kale chips.
  • Parchment Paper: I always use nontoxic parchment paper for ease, cleanup, and I think these homemade kale chips bake up better and crispier with it.

FAQ's

Can I use ghee instead of olive oil?

Yes, you can! Just melt the ghee over the stovetop so you can easily coat the kale before baking.

Can I leave the stems on?

No, the stems don't crisp up well in the oven. If you miss a couple stems, it's no big deal, you can just pull them out and toss after they are baked. But, these are not ideal to eat in kale chips.

How should I store these?

Store in a cool, dry place for a couple days. I usually just leave mine out in a bowl on the counter while I eat them. These are really best when eaten within 3 days of making.
