You will love this recipe for Air Fryer Chicken Strips because this is an easy and healthy recipe for nostalgic chicken strips! I will always think of pool days when I eat chicken strips, as they served them at my country club, and as a kid, that was something I ordered often from the snack bar.

But, traditional chicken strips are usually fried and they are not very good for you. But, this recipe for Air Fryer Chicken Strips uses completely organic ingredients and it's made in the air fryer, making this a healthy option when you're craving chicken strips!

Serve them with ketchup, ranch, or honey mustard. I also like to serve celery sticks and carrot sticks with them. And I add fresh parsley on top for a delicious appetizer or lunch!

Tips for Air Fryer Chicken Strips

• You can buy boneless skinless chicken strips or you can also buy breasts and then cut them into strips. Either way will work!

• Make sure to coat the chicken in the bread crumbs/flour mixture completely. If you have bare spots, then they won't be golden brown.

• Canola oil cooking spray is completely necessary for this recipe. The chicken strips have to be completely coated, and spraying them is the easiest and best way to get them perfectly golden brown.

• Make sure to air fry until they are golden brown before flipping. This may take a couple more minutes, depending on your air fryer, so just look at the chicken strips.

Try this recipe for organic Air Fryer Chicken Strips. This simple chicken strips recipe is healthier thanks to cooking them in the air fryer.


  • 2 pounds organic boneless skinless chicken strips

  • 113 grams (1 cup) organic Panko bread crumbs

  • 64 grams (1/2 cup) organic all purpose flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon organic garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon organic onion powder

  • Salt and pepper

  • 1 organic large egg

  • 1 tablespoon organic avocado oil

  • organic canola oil cooking spray

  • organic fresh parsley for serving


  • In a large bowl, add the bread crumbs, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, and a good amount of salt and pepper. Mix together to combine completely.
  • In a medium bowl, add the egg and avocado oil and whisk together.
  • Prepare your air fryer basket and spray the basket with canola oil cooking spray.
  • Dip the chicken into the egg mixture, then coat it in the bread crumb mixture, then place in the air fryer basket. Repeat until the basket is full. (I had to do 2 baskets). Spray the coated chicken with canola oil cooking spray so they are completely coated on the top.
  • Place the basket into the air fryer and airy fry at 400°F for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown. Remove basket and flip chicken strips, spray the tops with canola oil cooking spray and air fry for another 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove from the airy fryer, and repeat with remaining chicken.
  • Serve with fresh parsley.
